The Center for Internet Security's Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (CIS/MS-ISAC) works with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in helping the nation's state, local, tribal and territorial (SLTT) governments improve their cyber security readiness and response.
The NIST Cybersecurity Framework serves as an important new resource for SLTT governments in their efforts to address today's cyber challenges. CIS/MS-ISAC supports adoption of the Framework as a key guidance tool for enhancing our collective cyber security posture.
DHS has launched the Critical Infrastructure Cyber Community (C3) Voluntary Program to facilitate implementation of the Framework. CIS is pleased to participate in this initiative and encourages others to take part as well. DHS has aligned a wealth of resources to the five Framework functions, which are available to SLTT governments. CIS is working closely with DHS on more specifics to assist SLTT governments with adoption of the Framework. Stay tuned for more information to come in the near future.
