On June 12, 2013, the Cyber Alert Level was evaluated and raised from Green (Low) to Blue (Guarded) due to vulnerabilities in Microsoft and Adobe products. On June 11, 2013, the MS-ISAC issued three advisories for vulnerabilities which could all for remote code execution. One for a vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer (MS13-047), one for a vulnerability in Microsoft Office (MS13-051), and one for Adobe Flash (APSB13-16). It has been reported that the Microsoft Office vulnerability (MS13-051) is being actively exploited in the wild.

Blue (Guarded), indicates a general risk of increased hacking, virus or other malicious activity. Organizations and users are advised to update and apply all appropriate vendor security patches to vulnerable systems and to continue to update their antivirus signatures daily. Another line of defense includes user awareness training regarding the threats posed by attachments and hypertext links contained in emails especially from un-trusted sources.
