Nationwide Cyber Security Review (NCSR)
The MS-ISAC has partnered with NASCIO in support of the federal DHS' NCSR initiative. This national cyber assessment is being conducted from October 1st -- November 15, 2011.
All MS-ISAC member states, territories and local governments are encouraged to participate.
The 2011 survey is based on the MS-ISAC's risk-based maturity model which had previously been piloted with some members. It will measure cyber security controls and risks in a repeatable cyber security framework. There are individual respondent and national summary reports available. The survey is hosted in a NCSR compartment of the US-CERT secure portal.
Participants must have an account in the US-CERT Security Portal (https://portal.us-cert.gov).
For folks with an existing account for the MS-ISAC or GFIRST compartments, email ncsr@hq.dhs.gov and let them know that you have an existing account and the NCSR compartment can be added to that account.
For folks that need an account established, email ncsr@hq.dhs.gov and request an account for the NCSR.
A webcast on the NCSR and demo of the process was held on Sept. 27, 2011 for MS-ISAC and NASCIO members. It is archived and available to MS-ISAC members in the MS-ISAC library of monthly meetings in the MS-ISAC compartment of the US-CERT secure portal.
